Part of the proceeds from Oliver’s incredible challenge will go to fund projects organised by Kids Company's Young Entrepreneurs, a group of seven young people who study at our Urban Academy. Their current project has been organised as a team, alongside CIBC World Markets: A fundraising quiz night at a venue in London Bridge at the end of March. From finding a venue, to preparing the questions and sourcing raffle prizes, this has been a great challenge for these young people.
Oliver’s incredible challenge has helped to show these young people that anything is possible. When they met him they discussed their ambitions:
‘I want to help the homeless, they really need us. I’d do this by putting on a huge fundraising event, which I need help to fund’
‘I want to do a course in therapy and become a therapist.’
‘I have always had the dream of being an air hostess, and so I would like to be able to pursue this dream by training.’
'I would like support to take an arts course, I really want to go to University.'
‘I want to be an investment banker and to further my education.’
‘I want to be an electrician, and need help to fund my training.’
'I want to organise a huge music event in aid of Kids Company.'
